Color Changes: From Yellow to Green

The fourth grade classroom where I started my student teaching experience had a system of color changes. Green was one behavior warning. Yellow was a second warning and five minutes taken away from recess. They followed this pattern until red, which was a loss of recess. As a pre-service teacher focuses on improvement of teaching practices, especially behavior management, I am focusing on adding to my professional development-and in doing so, going from yellow to green, and beyond!
